When somebody needs help there’s nothing more reassuring than the voice on the other end of the phone. One thing I know personally when I’m calling a place of business if their IVR (phone message) does not sound professional, I am already upset by the time I get to the representative on the other end. I make it a point to not only sound professional but sound friendly, welcoming and as reassuring as possible to help the company I’m representing have the best possible customer service they can. It’s not just a voicemail, it’s an experience to the person on the other end.
